1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing this site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions in full. If you do not agree, please do not use this site or submit an order. We may update these terms at any time; continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. Products and descriptions
We make every effort to describe our hats, materials, measurements and prices accurately at the time of publication. Hats are made from natural materials such as wool felt, fur felt and straw; slight variations in colour, texture and finish are inherent to handcrafted goods and are not defects.
Many pieces are blocked and finished to order. Stated head sizes follow standard centimetre measurements; because hats are shaped by hand, minor tolerances may occur. If you are between sizes, we recommend the larger size.
We reserve the right to discontinue, substitute or reformulate any product at any time and without notice. If a product you have ordered becomes unavailable after payment, we will contact you to agree a replacement or a full refund.
3. Pricing and payment
All prices are shown in euros (€) and include applicable taxes where required by law. Prices are subject to change without notice, but price changes will not affect orders already confirmed. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on destination and order weight.
Standard shipping is free for orders with a product subtotal of €60 or more, before any discount codes or gift vouchers. Payment is taken at the time the order is placed. We accept major credit and debit cards. Payment processing is handled by third-party providers; we do not store card details.
4. Order confirmation and cancellation
An order confirmation email acknowledges receipt of your order; it does not constitute acceptance of a contract. We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of pricing error, suspected fraud or product unavailability, with a full refund.
You may cancel an order free of charge provided you notify us before a made-to-order item enters the blocking and finishing stage. Items already shaped and finished to your specification cannot be cancelled, as the piece was prepared specifically for you.
5. Shipping and delivery
In-stock hats ship within 2–4 business days; made-to-order pieces ship within the timeframe stated at checkout. Delivery times depend on destination and carrier; estimated transit times are indicative and not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, weather or other events beyond our control.
Risk of loss and ownership of goods pass to you on delivery to the carrier. If a parcel is lost in transit, please contact hello@brimwell.com; we will work with the carrier to locate or replace the shipment at our discretion.
We currently ship to all EU member states, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Norway and Iceland. For other destinations, please contact us directly. Hats are shipped in protective boxes; please retain the box for storage and any return.
6. Returns and refunds
Unworn hats in their original condition, with tags and the original box, may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full product refund (excluding outbound shipping). Hats show wear quickly, so please try them on indoors, on clean hair, and handle felt and straw by the brim.
Made-to-order and resized pieces are prepared to your specification and can only be returned if faulty. Faulty or damaged items will be replaced or fully refunded, including shipping, upon receipt of photographic evidence of the fault or damage.
To start a return, contact hello@brimwell.com with your order number and the reason for return. Please do not send any item back before receiving a return authorisation from us.
7. Care and durability
Care guidance provided with each hat is advisory. Natural felt and straw require gentle handling; we cannot accept liability for damage resulting from improper cleaning, exposure to water or heat, or storage that distorts the crown or brim. Treated with reasonable care, a Brimwell hat is built to last for years.
8. Intellectual property
All content on this site — including text, photography, design, CSS, JavaScript and layout — is the property of [Legal entity — pending] or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, republish or use this content for commercial purposes without express written permission.
You may share links to this site and reproduce brief extracts of text for personal, non-commercial purposes, with attribution.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the purchase or use of our products is limited to the amount paid for the product in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. Any dispute arising in connection with them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts. The legal entity operating this store is [Legal entity — pending], with its registered office in Casper, Wyoming.
